Sept. 19, 2023 – The next phase of my treatment is finally beginning. I’m excited to get the ball rolling, but maybe not so much for the effects I might experience. I’ll just have to take some of my own old coaching advice and, “Toughen Up!”

I’ll be getting daily radiation Mon.-Fri. for 6 weeks, along with daily chemotherapy. There will be some conflict with the store hours until they can get me at a set time for my radiation, so I’ll do my best to update things on the store’s Mattress To Go Facebook page, and please call before visiting, just to make sure that I’m indeed at the store. The combination of these therapies is supposed to accumulate and hit me harder about 3 weeks in, so there may be a day or two when I’m unable to open the store. We’ll have to see how that goes.

On a brighter side, I’m including a newer photo of my scar and how well it’s healing. Overall, I can’t complain as to how I feel. My strength is coming back and now I just have to work on my stamina. And hairline.

Thanks everyone for your patience and understanding as I go through these necessary treatments. I’ll have the store back to normal hours in no time!
