People have been asking for an update, so I thought I’d oblige.
Really, not much has changed. I’m in the middle of my heavier chemo, which means I feel like dog doo-doo for about 10 days, then spend the other 20 getting back to normal. It could be worse. Another 3 months of this (at least that’s the current plan). New MRI scheduled for a few weeks, so we’ll see how things are progressing inside my dome.
I am having some small issues with my short-term memory, which they said would be normal with the radiation, but it should come back – more frustrating than anything else. I’m in my third week back at the gym continuously, so that’s a good thing – getting back to a sense of normalcy.
And the biggest news of all – hair is starting to grow back in front of the scar! A few more months and things will start to look a little better. You’ll still be able to see the part in front of my ear, as I refuse to grow muttonchops.
Overall, I can’t complain. I’ve been back at normal hours at the store since my radiation treatment ended November 1, and the only days I’ve missed have been due to a few odd doctor’s appointments or snowstorms.
It’s the power of the Beducator – no time to be a bump on a log.
