Support for the Leelanau Cushion Firm is provided by a Bolsa pocketed innerspring unit. This unit provides very solid support, but still manages to contribute to point elasticity and contouring. The perimeter of this innerspring unit contains rows of firmer Bolsa springs that allow for a firmer edge system, while also extending the overall usable sleep surface.

Comfort for the Leelanau Cushion Firm is provided by high quality, high-density polyurethane foams. The quilt of the mattress consists of a 1" and a .5" piece of 1.5# polyurethane foam. This foam is about 50% higher density/quality than what is typically found for quilt foam in this price range. Beneath the quilt panel are two more pieces of polyurethane foam. The first piece is 1.5" of convoluted, true high-density 1.8# polyurethane foam. And then beneath this piece is a .5" piece, also 1.8# density. These lower foam layers provide incredible solidity and durability, and are firmer than the upper quilt layers. This is a Cushion Firm mattress that manages to conform a bit and can be comfortable even for side sleepers.
